Registration Details:
For the 2025 Spring WMBA league basketball, registration opens Monday, February 10 and closes on Saturday, March 15th.
The Spring League age is based on the age the player is as of December 31, 2025. Please ONLY register for the age your child is or will be on Dec 31, 2025. For more information about spring basketball please email ohccbasketball@shaw.ca
Please take note—this is different timing than regular OHCC registration.

ALL Community Club level participants MUST hand in an $80 deposit cheque for their jersey. Cheque to be post dated to June 30, 2025 and made out to OHCC. When jersey is returned on time and washed, the cheque is given back. If not handed in, not washed, or returned ripped/stained, the cheque will be cashed. All participants are required to have their own ball.
About the WMBA Basketball Program
The WMBA’s main program offered is its Community Club Basketball League (a.k.a. Club Basketball). The spring league is open to boys and girls ages 7-18, and runs from April thru June.
If you live in the Park City West, South Transcona, East End and Oxford Heights catchment areas of Transcona—you are required to register with Oxford Heights Community Club in order to be eligible to participate.
The Club league holds its games weekends (traditionally teams ages 12 and under play Saturdays and ages 13+ run Sundays) along with one practice during the weeknights. (To be finalized based on gym availability.)
The WMBA is a city-wide league, so teams will be competing against other teams from around the city, and we attempt to keep games in a central location fair to all teams in the program.
Coaches and volunteers are always needed to help with the program - speak with your Basketball Convenor at registration or contact the WMBA to get involved!
Winnipeg Minor Basketball- Community Club level basketball Ages 7-18

Age 7-8 Coed: WMBA Community Centre League with WMBA games*
Developmental program with 1 practice/week and 1-2 games/week (Saturdays) - Cost $237
Age 9-12: WMBA Community Centre League with WMBA games*
Developmental program with 1 practice/week and 1-2 games/week (Saturdays) - Cost $237
Age 13-18: WMBA Community Centre League*
Winnipeg Minor Basketball city -wide program with 1 practice/week and 1-2 games/week (Sunday) - Cost $237
*all teams will practice once during the week over the course of the program

Oxford Heights Community Club is the Transcona area catchment for Basketball through Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association. This includes the following centers as a result:
- Oxford Heights Community Club
- East End Community Club
- Park City Community Club
- South Transcona Community Club
Please note: Registration with Oxford Heights Community Club does not guarantee placement on a Transcona team as specific age groups may not support a team being hosted from Oxford Heights, this includes having too many players for one team but not enough for two. In those cases, players may be located in other area catchments to complement player counts such as the following examples:
- East St Paul
- Valley Gardens
- North Kildonan; or
- Selkirk
