2025 Softball Registration will be open mid February 1 -28th 2025.

Please email president@northeastsoftball.ca if you would like to register after the closing date. We cannot guarantee placement on a team after the closing date.

 

Softball 2025

League play: the full schedule can be found on the Capital Region Softball League website. 

Dates of Provincials can be found on the Competition Calendar on Softball Manitoba's website.

Softball usually starts at the beginning of May and finishes at the end of June.

Both boys and girls can start playing at the age of 3. At or before the age of 10, boys move over to baseball and girls can continue with softball. 

League games, practices and all tournaments are subject to information from Softball Manitoba and directives from the Province of Manitoba.

Timbits Learn to Play 1 (LTP1) (born 2018-2021)Boys & Girls - Monday & Wednesday

U9 (born 2016-2017) Boys & Girls - Tuesday & Thursday

U11 (born 2014-2015) Girls Only - Monday & Wednesday

U13 (born 2012-2011) Girls Only - Tuesday & Thursday

U15 (born 2010-2011) Girls Only - Monday & Wednesday

U17 (born 2008-2009) Girls Only - Tuesday & Thursday

U19 (born 2006-2007) Girls Only - Monday & Wednesday

 

2024 Softball Fees

Timbits Learn to Play 1: $140.00

U9: $140.00

U11 - U19: $210.00

Some Clubs may charge additional fees. You MUST select the additional fee package if you reside in a Community Club’s catchment that charges additional fees.

Equipment

Every player requires a softball glove, a batting helmet with attached cage and a pair of running shoes.

U9, U11, U13 and U15 players and all pitchers are required to wear a fielding mask when on the field playing defense. Fielding masks are available for purchase at your local sporting goods store.

Optional equipment includes a softball bat, batting gloves and cleats.

Jerseys will be provided.

 

Evaluations

Evaluations will be held mid March. Stay tuned for further details.
